On Wednesday 29th March Grange Park P.S. will welcome the Abaana New Life Choir for a short concert for all the children. Abaana is a Bangor based charity that works in Uganda to provide homes for street children and schools for children in many different settings in the country. The choir, who are made up of children from Abaana schools, are visiting Northern Ireland for a number of months and have kindly agreed to squeeze us into their schedule.
To support the charity we are asking pupils and staff to make a minimum donation of £1 to help support the children and the Abaana projects however every penny does count and any extra donations will be gratefully received by the charity.
The children will be finding out a bit more about children and the charity in school but if you would like to know more please visit the Abaana website. (Link below.)
Thank you in advance for your support with this event. We hope it will be a beneficial experience for the children of our school.
On Tuesday 2nd December children from P4, 5 and 6 were tree planting as part of the on going work of The Woodland Trust.
Organised by Mrs Clements (P4) alongside Mr Fulton (Woodland Trust) children worked with volunteers to plant over 420 trees in the school grounds. Perhaps you will spot some as they start to grow!
Below are some photographs that show just how busy the children were.
Thank you to Mr Fulton and his team of volunteers for such an enjoyable experience.
